The time has come once again for the Alaska Marine Science Symposium, Alaska’s leading marine research conference, which convenes scientists, resource managers, educators, and students annually to share current research from Alaskan waters.

The symposium will be held from January 26–30, 2026, at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, AK.

One of our BSFRF science advisors, Madison Heller-Shipley, will be presenting on her graduate work related to closed-loop simulation tools intended to help us explore management questions in our crab fisheries.

Early registration is open until December 22nd. If you’re in Anchorage in January and want to hear about the current research happening in Alaska, please consider joining!
