Gordon Kruse
Gordon Kruse earned a BS in Biomathematics from Rutgers University and a MS and PhD in Fisheries from Oregon State. He worked with ADF&G for 16 years, first as a Statewide Shellfish Biometrician then as a Marine Fisheries Scientist. For 17 years he was a Professor of Fisheries at the University of Alaska Fairbanks based in Juneau. He worked on a variety of groundfish, herring, and invertebrate species with an emphasis on Bering Sea crabs in broad areas of applied research spanning stock assessment, population dynamics, marine ecosystem dynamics, and fisheries management. After retiring from UAF in 2018, Gordon became a science advisor to BSFRF in 2021.
